PayStay registrations reach 100,000
PayStay, a mobile parking payment app developed for the Australian market, has reached the ambitious target of 100,000 subscribers well ahead of schedule. To put that into perspective, you can fill the MCG with PayStay users.
When PayStay was released in July 2014, DCA was confident that their leading mobile parking payment solution would be well received by the Australian market. However, the uptake of this application has exceeded all expectations. This 100,000 milestone, which was registered on 15 December 2015 at 2.31pm, is the culmination of an exhilarating 18 months of operation.
This milestone is of great significance to us
said DCA Business Unit Manager for PayStay Shane Treacy.
This app is the first of its kind to be developed, supported and maintained by an Australian company, with the majority of other vendors in the market still being owned and operated overseas. We take pride in the fact that we are an Australian operated system – our developers work on upgrades right here in Melbourne, our call centre is in Melbourne and our whole system is designed to suit the Australian marketplace.
We are absolutely thrilled with the success so far.
PayStay is being continuously developed to achieve optimal user experiences, it is no wonder it has rapidly become the app-of-choice amongst the Australian market.
Whilst we are pleased with the current results of our app, we also realise we have a long way to go in terms of our development – the roadmap is very exciting. We will continue to grow and continue to innovate to ensure that PayStay remains the most convenient way to pay for your parking.
Mr Treacy was also pleased to announce the further progression of PayStay, including a parking locater feature, which integrates seamlessly with PayStay to direct drivers to vacant parking bays.
The PayStay app adds a significant element into the parking industry by gaining vacancy information from DCA’s vehicle detection sensors and feeding that into a service that can direct drivers to a vacant parking space. It is an exciting innovation that drastically reduces the time it takes for drivers to locate the coveted vacant parking space. We are really pleased with the release.
